Police Investigating Shooting In Cedar Rapids
According to the Cedar Rapids Gazette, a man was injured in a shooting Monday evening in Cedar Rapids.
Police were called to Mercy Medical Center Monday around 8:20 p.m. Staff informed the officers that a man came into the emergency area with a single gunshot wound.
The man was interviewed by officers and he told them he had been shot while in a vehicle. The incident happened in the 4100 block of 22nd Avenue SW in Cedar Rapids.
Officers went to the scene of the shooting and found shell casings. According to the Gazette story, the man's injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
At this point, no one has been arrested and a suspect has not been identified.
