Folks are getting all fired up thinking about buying legal weed for recreational use in the state of Illinois, and with good reason.

There are hundreds of customers lining out the door in Michigan, where pot sales just went into effect a few weeks ago.

The Chicago Tribune reports there will be nearly 30 places in the land of Lincoln where adults over age 21 will be able to buy legal weed starting January 1, 2020.

In the Quad Cities, recreational pot will be allowed to be sold at Nature's Treatment of Illinois located at 973 Tech Drive, in Milan, according to WQAD-TV.

Pot will also be sold in Galesburg, Illinois at the old Aldi store where Nature's Treatment is reportedly hiring 25 staffers to handle what they believe will be a bustling business.

Fair warning: possession of weed is still against the law in Iowa and at the federal level, so it cannot be transported legally across state lines.
