Lowes Closing Stores on Easter Sunday to Give Employees a Break

Essential workers have been hard at work around the clock during this pandemic. Many of them don't get the luxury to work from home like others are doing these days. Employees in fields like healthcare, logistics, and some retail, to name a few, could use a little break.

KCRG reports that home improvement retailer Lowes is giving their workers just that. They announced Tuesday that they'll be closing up shop on Easter Sunday to give workers some much deserved time off.

The report states that Lowe’s president and CEO Marvin Ellison is committing to making certain that "no one hurts financially" due to the Sunday closure. Lowe's has already increased wages for their workers through April and "provided a special payment for hourly employees."

This Easter will definitely be different from the norm. It'll be nice for these employees to get a little break and spend the holiday with their families.
