Fines Doubled For Illegal Parking On Game Day In Ames
According to KCRG, "Football fans intending to drive to Jack Trice Stadium in Ames for the Saturday's game between Iowa State and Iowa face a bigger parking challenge than usual."
This week, the City of Ames passed an ordinance to double the fines for illegal parking. That means a normal fine of $20 would go up to $40. The ordinance starts at 6 a.m and runs until midnight on days there are football games.
This weekend will be CRAZY in Ames with estimates of over 150,000 planned to show up for the game. Parking will not be easy to find so make sure you are in a designated spot. You don't want to pay double for the fine!
