Eastern Iowa Man Starts New Year Right With Big Lottery Win
One of the top New Year resolutions in Iowa is to save more money. It's easy to save money when you win a good chunk of it from the Iowa Lottery. Really, everyone's resolution or goal is to win some chunk of change playing the lottery.
One man from Clinton, Iowa has already accomplished that goal of winning big with the Iowa Lottery in 2024. While it's not millions of dollars, it's definitely an amount that none of us would be upset winning.
If you're looking to get a ticket from the same spot he won, we have all of that info for you. Just don't blow all of the money you don't have on a bunch of lottery tickets in hopes of winning right away in the new year.
Clinton Man Starts 2024 With Iowa Lottery Win
Congrats to Steven Hazen of Clinton won the 18th top prize in the Iowa Lottery's "$20,000 Crossword" scratch game. The top prize is $20,000 which isn't a terrible chunk of change to start the new year with.
He purchased his winning ticket at ExpressLane, 500 N. Second St. in Clinton, and claimed his prize Friday at the lottery's Cedar Rapids regional office.
The $20,000 Crossword game is a $2 scratch game that features 34 top prizes of $20,000 and overall odds of 1 in 3.46. If $2 can turn into $20,000, that sounds like one awesome deal to me.
We hope to see a bunch of Quad Citizens win big with the Iowa Lottery in 2024. Keep an eye on the Mega Millions, by the way. It's starting to creep up there.
