A busy intersection near City Hall in Hiawatha that has been closed off and on for construction the past year, is now open on a permanent basis.

Construction at Emmons St. and Center Point Road is nearly complete after the intersection was closed last fall, reopened last winter, and closed again in the spring.

Further work will not require additional road closures, according to city officials.
