Baby, It’s Cold Outside

Welcome to Winter, Eastern Iowa!

It wasn't easy to get out of bed today and come in to work. Even though the office is closed, I still had to come in for The KRNA Morning Show. I'm just happy I have a garage!

No issues with the car starting, but I quickly realized I was almost out of gas. So, this morning at 5:35 a.m., I had to brave the elements and fill my tank. I'll be honest...it sucked. But now I have gas, so I'm good to go.

When I left the gas station, it was -2 below zero. As I write this blog, the temps have gotten worse. It's currently -25 and falling quickly. I'm told the winchills could get as low as -60. This is NOT what I signed up for!

I honestly can't remember a time in my life when it was this cold and I'm from Minnesota! It's not fun, but we have to get through it and I'm trying my best to stay positive.

I'm worried about Wednesday into Thursday. I hope it doesn't get any worse, but it doesn't look promising. Just be safe out there and stay home. Order a pizza and watch a movie. That's my plan for the rest of the day.

Look on the bright side: We're only 49 days away from the first day of Spring!
