Who’s The Greatest Iowa Men’s Basketball Player Of All Time?
Today I'm asking you a very hard question. This question should spark a fun conversation and I'm guessing we all wont agree. But let's give it a shot, here we go!
"Who's the Greatest Iowa Men's Basketball Player of all Time?"
If I had to pick, I'd say Roy Marble. I will admit, I'm a little biased because Roy was a good friend of mine. But besides our friendship, he had one heck of a career for the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Roy played four seasons at Iowa from 1985 to 1989. He left as the all-time leading scorer with 2,116 points. Marble led Iowa to the NCAA Tournament four times including a trip to the Elite Eight in 1987.
If you ask me, this one of the best teams in the history of the program. We all know they should have won a title in 1987, but it just wasn't in the cards.
Roy Marble sadly passed away on September 11, 2015.
Now it's your turn, who do you think is the greatest of all time?
Comment below and we can discuss!
