One sure sign is the return of the 43rd Annual Cedar Rapids Sportshow this weekend at the Alliant Energy Power House Convention Center.

The three-day show runs Friday February 26th from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Saturday February 27th from 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. and Sunday February 28th from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

The Cedar Rapids Sportshow features exhibits of boats, pontoons, kayaks and canoes, along with RV's, campers and trailers. There will be booth exhibits providing information on vacation resorts, campgrounds and RV parks.

Visitors will also find a lot of bargains on hunting and fishing gear, and other recreational items from golf cars and hot tubs to log splitters, fishing rods, tackle, and reels.

One of the more popular attractions is the Parakeet Encounter, a giant aviary with birds in free flight where kids can get hands on interaction with a colorful variety of adorable parakeets.

The event also features several "Ask the Pro" Seminars on all three days with fishing experts Clay Torson and Greg Vance, among others.

Admission is $7.00 for adults, with special 2-for-one prices on Friday from 3pm-8pm. Kids 12 and under are free all weekend, and veterans are also free with military ID.

The Cedar Rapids Sportshow is asking its customers to "mask up" for safety during the 3 day event.
