Cedar Rapids Train Pedestrian Accident Kills Teen

The Linn County Sheriff's Office reports a deadly crash last night between a pedestrian and a train along tracks southeast of Cedar Rapids, just east of Indian Creek Nature Center on Otis Road SE.

Authorities told CBS2 News that the victim is a teenage girl who had been walking on the tracks when a west bound train hit her.

The teen was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim has not been identified pending notification of relatives.
