It hasn't been a great week for outdoor festivals here in Eastern Iowa! But we live in the Midwest, it's spring, it happens. And it looks like today is no different.

It was just announced that Marion By Moonlight will not be happening this evening. Because of the heavy rain, the grounds at Marion Square Park are completely saturated.

It also looks like tonight's forecast won't be much better. Expect rain in the area from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. Organizers felt cancelling was the best decision to protect the park and keep volunteers and attendees safe.

Marion By Moonlight will return next Thursday, June 28th. This will be the final Marion By Moonlight of the year. Wooden Nickel Lottery is the featured artist that will rock the stage starting at 6:30 p.m.

The Marion Square is located at 1107 7th Avenue. I sure hope we have sunny skies and perfect weather for the final event of the year!
