Good news for fans of The Pork Tornadoes!

The band announced this morning they WILL be playing the McGrath Amphitheatre this year after all. With everything going on, the band has decided to move their June 19th show to later this year. But at least it's not cancelled!

That new date will be on Friday, September 25th. If you already have tickets for the June 19 concert, hold on to them. They will be valid for the new date on September 25th. If you have any other questions, you can contact the U.S. Cellular Center Box Office.

I spoke with The Pork T's drummer Mike Schute earlier today. He told me, "As much as we wanted to be the triumph return of large events in Cedar Rapids, it just doesn't seem possible right now. It's too difficult to get 3,000 or more people into the Amphitheater and still allow people to be safe and social distance. We waited as long as we could to make this work, but we felt in the end we needed to reschedule for later in the year. Safety is very important to everyone involved, it has to do with a lot of people and not just us. Let's hope in September we can all be safe and enjoy a great night of music and have some much needed fun!"

I've always loved the music of The Pork Tornadoes. When you go to one of their shows, it's one big party and everyone is has a good time. We're lucky to have to Pork T's here in Eastern Iowa and I won't miss this concert in September!

We'll see you on Friday, September 25th for the return of the Pork Tornadoes at the McGrath Amphitheatre in downtown Cedar Rapids.
