Picking out a name for your pending bundle of joy can be a stressful time for some couples. What do you do? Go with a family name? Pick out something trendy. There are countless books and websites dedicated to the task of choosing your baby's name. When my wife Holly and I were trying to settle on a name, we had our difficulties.

With our firstborn, Chase, we knew we were having a boy but were never quite sure what to name him. We knew that his middle name would be Stephen, named after my father. Months went by with no consensus. Then, while browsing through a baby book while in the restroom, I stumbled upon the name Chase. Chase it would be. Holly and I battled over the name of our second child and our first daughter, Carly. Holly was set on the name Cora. I thought it was too 'old' sounding. The battle raged for months until we came to an agreement. I'm so happy we have a Carly. Plus, now we have a cat named Cora! With two kids with names that started with 'C', we decided to keep the trend going with our third. We agreed on Cayleigh early. It was the easiest naming of the three.
