Stormy Monday Blues Coming
Admit it. Your inner-12 year-old self snickered when you first saw the weather graphic. Yeah, thanks for the chuckle, Iowa.
And now, the grown up self can process the fact that we may see a stormy start to the week later Monday afternoon.
"A powerful storm system will develop and track through the northern plains on Monday with showers and thunderstorms developing by late afternoon and evening across eastern Iowa", according to Brandon Marshall at CBS2 News.
The "spring-like" weather continues into Monday. Temperatures will again rise into the 60s. Then gusty winds roll in, between 30-40 mph. Instability will also start to increase throughout the day as a cold front approaches from the west. Showers and thunderstorms will develop ahead of the front by late afternoon and some could potentially become strong."
So take along your umbrella tomorrow morning.
