Remains Found In Shut Down Iowa Supermarket Identified
Earlier this year remains were found in a shut down supermarket in Council Bluffs, IA. Those remains have now been identified.
KCRG reports that The Council Bluffs Police Department stated in a news release that "the man has been identified through DNA analysis as 25-year-old Larry Murillo-Moncada of Council Bluffs."
Moncada worked at the the No Frills Supermarket and his parents reported him missing on Novemeber 28, 2009 after getting upset and running from home. The supermarket was shut down in 2016 and Moncada's remains were found in January of this year in between an 18-inch gap from the back of the cooler and a wall. Police say that Moncada likely fell in the gap from storage space that was above the coolers. Former employees report that is was common for workers to be in the storage area.
The case of the missing 25-year old is now solved and hopefully the family now has some closure.
