It's Conference Championship weekend in the NFL! On Sunday, the Tennessee Titans take on the Kansas City Chiefs while the Green Bay Packers will visit the San Francisco 49ers. The winners of each game will play each other in the Super Bowl in two weeks. What is one thing that all four rosters have in common? They all feature former Iowa Hawkeye players!

One thing that Iowa head coach Kirk Ferentz has been consistent at is turning Iowa players into NFL players. Several more including A.J. Epenesa and Tristan Wirfs will hear their names called this spring at the NFL Draft.

Each of the teams in the championship games this weekend has former Hawkeyes that have proven they belong in the NFL. The Green Bay Packers have tackle Brian Bulaga, who's been protecting Aaron Rodgers since 2010. He was a first-round pick that year and later won the Super Bowl over Pittsburgh.

The other Hawkeye on the Packers is defensive back Josh Jackson, who was drafted by Green Bay in 2018.

The San Francisco 49ers have perhaps the best tight end in the NFL in George Kittle. They also feature former Iowa quarterback C.J. Beathard and offensive lineman Ross Reynolds on their practice squad.

The Tennessee Titans feature rookie safety Amani Hooker and tight end Parker Hesse who is on the Titan practice squad.

The Kansas City Chiefs roster includes former Hawkeyes Ben Niemann and Anthony Hitchens.

Iowa is tied with Mississippi State and Penn State for the most players on championship rosters this weekend. No matter which team you're cheering for, you can still say GO HAWKS!
