Officer-Involved Shooting in Marshalltown
We have breaking news out of Marshalltown county to report at this hour:
According to WHO-TV in Des Moines, "A teen was injured in an officer-involved shooting in Marshalltown early Wednesday morning."
The incident happened on Wednesday, March 13 around 4:20 in the morning. The shooting took place in the 600 block of Summit Street in Marshalltown, Iowa.
Police officers were sent out after receiving calls about a disturbance and a report of someone who was carrying a weapon. Officers arrived on the scene shortly after getting the call. The WHO-TV story didn't give all of the details, but it did say a 17-year-old male was shot by an officer during the incident.
The teen that suffered the wound was rushed to a local hospital. At this point it sounds like his injuries are non-life threatening. There were no officers injured and this is all of the information we have at this time.
