Check Out Caitlin Clark’s Offseason Shooting Routine [WATCH]
As sports fans in Iowa, we've been spoiled by Caitlin Clark. We think that every shot is going in. Every layup. Every logo-length three-point shot. Every time the ball comes off her fingertips we just assume the shot is good. That is, of course, because most of the time Clark's shots are right on the money. She makes the impossible look easy. But as any athlete knows, the key to making it look easy in a game is repetition and practice.
Sure, you've seen Clark out and about at plenty of events this summer. The Iowa Cubs game, the John Deere Classic Pro-Am, and this past weekend at the Iowa Speedway for the Hy-Vee Indy Car Race. But don't for one minute think that Clark isn't working her tail off behind the scenes, getting ready for her senior year at Iowa. The Hawkeyes made the Final Four last year and were just one win away from a National Championship. What will Clark and the rest of this Iowa team give us as an encore? If her off-season practice routine is any indication, the sky is the limit!
For this particular workout, Caitlin attempted 100 shots from three-point range, the mid-range, and the free-throw line. Notice in the video that she doesn't miss a shot when the camera is rolling. While that is partly due to some creative editing, it is also because Clark nailed 233 out of the 300 shots she took! She hit 63/100 three-point shots, 81/100 mid-range shots, and 89/100 free throws! Those are some impressive shooting percentages!
If you want to be the best, you have to put in the work. Keep it up, Caitlin!
