Meet A Very Sad Ohio State Fan From Saturday’s Game [VIDEO]
His name is George. He traveled over 500 miles to see his #3 Ohio State Buckeyes take on the Iowa Hawkeyes over the weekend in Iowa City. He had the jersey, the face paint, the Buckeye necklace, and was even wearing his lucky red and white underwear.
There was NO way George's team could lose this game. Ohio State was an 18 point favorite at kick-off! This day would belong to George.....or, so he thought.
His tickets cost him just over $400 to be in the front row at Kinnick Stadium. He was surrounded by screaming Hawkeye Fans. When I caught up with him for a quick interview, he was in a state of shock. He couldn't believe what was happening!
Unfortunately for George, his team never made a comeback. Iowa defeated Ohio State 55-24. George's team didn't just lose, they got clobbered! Too make matters worse, George had to watch the Iowa fans storm the field.
Besides George, I noticed quite a few Ohio State fans at the game on Saturday. I felt bad for them, kind of. They looked so depressed watching their Buckeyes get destroyed by an unranked team that should have lost the game by 20!
Once again, Iowa wins big on Saturday 55-24 over Ohio State. To all of the fans that made the journey, I hope you make it home safe and we'll see you next time. Football is just a game, at the end of the day we can all be friends.
Speaking of new friends, my conversation with George was the highlight of my day. I hope to see you again, old chum. Better luck next time!
