When emergency personnel arrived at the hotel, they found a 33-year-old man who had suffered a stab wound "to the upper torso." Despite receiving emergency medical care at the scene, the man was pronounced dead.

Cedar Rapids police say that their investigation has determined there were multiple people in the room when the stabbing occurred. Police say a verbal argument between the man who was stabbed, and a suspect ended with the stabbing. The two men knew each other.

Cedar Rapids Police have announced they've made two separate arrests stemming from this morning's incident.
