Local Choir Will Sing With Foreigner In Cedar Rapids [VIDEO]
Foreigner performs March 29th in Cedar Rapids at the U.S. Cellular Center. We asked you to help us select one talented high school choir in Eastern Iowa to join them onstage that night to perform "I Want to Know What Love Is".
We received a number of fantastic entries and narrowed it down to six finalists. Cedar Rapids Jefferson, Cedar Rapids Prairie, Center Point-Urbana, Marion, Oskaloosa and Solon all took part in the contest, and our winner has been determined.
Congratulations to Solon High School! Their a capella version of "I Want to Know What Love is" has earned them $500 for their school's music program to use as they see fit, and will make them "rock stars for a day" as the group who will perform live alongside Foreigner on the 29th. We look forward to seeing them take part in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
We would like to thank all the choirs who entered and congratulate them for a job well done.
