There is a Major Change Coming to Iowa Irish Fest, and You’ll Love it
Anytime we get to talk Irish Fest I think, woo, time to talk SUMMER! This week we revealed the full lineup for the 2022 edition of Iowa Irish Fest. Check that out, and get excited!
But don't let your excitement for Irish Fest stop there, because there is another big reason to get excited, one that will save you time during the festival this summer.
KWWL reports that this year patrons will be able to a credit or debit card to make purchases at all serving stations. You will still be able to use your credit or debit card will to purchase vendor cash for food and drinks.
Chad Shipman told KWWL,
This development, and every development we incorporate, is to help improve the Fest experience for our attendees... overall, those who bring their debit or credit cards experience less wait time and fewer lines, allowing them to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Fest.
Irish Fest needs volunteers for 2022
The Irish Fest committee is also still looking for volunteers for 2022. With the event in roughly four months, volunteers are needed.
All volunteers receive:
- Free three-day admission
- Free T-shirt
- Two free drink tokens

The 2022 edition of Iowa Irish Fest will be held from August 5th to August 7th in downtown Waterloo.
