The Iowa Hawkeyes defeated The UNI Panthers 69-46 on Saturday afternoon. The game was part of the Hy-Vee Classic at Wells Fargo Arena. The Hy-Vee Classic, formerly known as Hy-Vee Big Four Classic, has been held at Wells Fargo Arena since 2012.

The Iowa Basketball team is playing some great basketball in the month of December. After victories against Stetson and Iowa State, Saturdays victory against UNI marks the teams third win in a row. As the weather is getting colder, the Hawks are starting to heat up!

Peter Jok lead the team with 21 points and 8 rebounds. He's having a great year and we all hope that will continue into conference play in 2017. According to hawkeyesports.com, "Nicholas Baer came of the bench to score 11 points and grab 11 rebounds. He also had three assists, two blocked shots, and a steal."

Up next for the Hawks is North Dakota on Tuesday, December 20th. The game will start at 8:05 p.m., at Carver Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City. If you can't make it to the game, you can watch all of the action on The Big Ten Network.
