Great Iowa Ambassadors: Mike Wolfe & Frank Fritz

I'm talking about Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz. Their show, American Pickers, is one of the highest rated on cable television. Millions of people tune in to watch Wolfe and Fritz travel across America to look for junk that they see as treasure.

I love the show, and the best part is that the guys focus the show around the state of Iowa. Mike Wolfe's business, Antique Archaeology, is based in Le Claire, Iowa. Almost every show features Iowa in some form or fashion.

Both Wolfe and Fritz are from Iowa and often wax poetic about the state in episodes. The guys are doing well -- they recently expanded to open a store in Nashville. But for all the success, their roots will always be in Iowa.
