This morning on The Free & Hot Wings Morning Show, we spoke with former Major League Baseball outfielder and coach Mookie Wilson.

Wilson has a new book out titled Mookie: Life, Baseball and the '86 Mets, which he co-wrote with Erik Sherman Berkley.

He is perhaps best known for being the one who hit the ground ball through Boston Red Sox first baseman Bill Buckner's legs in the bottom of the 10th inning during Game 6 of the 1986 World Series. The Mets went on to win the game and the series in seven games.

We talked to Wilson about a ton of topics, including what was going through his head when he hit that ball, his thoughts on the steroid era, whether or not Pete Rose should be in the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum and what he doesn't like about the current state of baseball.

He was a great guest.
