Iowans Share Their Random Celebrity Encounters

Have you ever unexpectedly run into a celebrity?

Lately, I have been obsessed with the Instagram account @OverheardCelebs. It's a popular profile where people send in their random celebrity encounters, sometimes including photos and videos! It's fascinating to hear stories about people like Will Ferrell, Meghan Markle, Paul Rudd, Chris Rock, and Jennifer Garner.

Looking through this account inspired us to ask listeners to share their random celebrity encounters this morning, and we had a TON of responses. I've met quite a few celebrities working in radio through interviews and meet & greets (mostly country stars), but I've only had one totally random encounter. When I was in 3rd grade, my mom, brother, and I got on a flight to Texas. The crew knew that it was our first flight, so they were treating us extra special. At one point, a flight attendant came over to us and asked us if we wanted to meet some professional wrestlers. We said yes, of course, and they lead us up to First Class. We weren't huge wrestling fans, but we both knew who Chyna and Triple H were! I don't remember them being very friendly, but they were probably annoyed that two kids were disturbing them during their flight. I know I have their autographs somewhere, but it's been years since I've seen them.
