Former Megadeth Guitarist To Play Iowa City

Former Megadeth guitarist Marty Friedman has a show at Gabe's this Friday, February 8th. He will be joined with openers Immortal Guardian, Tranzig and Vitrus. The show starts at 7 p.m. For tickets, please visit this link.
Friedman is best known for his work in Megadeth. He was around for some of the most successful records like Countdown to Extinction, Youthenasia and Cryptic Writings. He left Megadeth in December of 1999.
Friedman told the Cedar Rapids Gazette that KISS was a huge influence. "Each of those three classic live albums from the 70's had a profound impact on me as a musician. The Power of a live album is tremendous."
