A Monday afternoon trip to a fast food restaurant turned into much more than one eastern Iowa man bargained for.

Nathan King took his two children to the Steak 'n Shake on Elmore Avenue in Davenport at around 2 p.m. Monday. While Nathan and his two kids were in the restaurant, some people came in and began hollering at the restaurant's cook. Things soon turned even worse.

When someone said to 'take it outside,' that's exactly what happened. And that was very bad news for King's vehicle, and another one in the Steak 'n Shake parking lot. One man grabbed a chair and threw it into the back window of a red car next to King's vehicle. It bounced off the red car, hitting King's car. His vehicle had four dents once the fight was over. Other than vehicle damage, only minor injuries were reported.

King's insurance company says he's looking at a $3,000 claim. Nathan believes Steak 'n Shake should pay the cost. He told Our Quad Cities,

Since their employees damaged our vehicle, it would be nice if they would pay for it instead of the claim on our insurance.
