Prison Brawl Breaks Out In Fort Dodge

This sounds like a scene right of out of the movie Shawshank Redemption.

According to KWWL, "Iowa prison officials say guards at a Fort Dodge prison were able to quickly gain control of a melee that broke out among groups of inmates."

The incident happened in "the yard" on Thursday morning at the Fort Dodge Correctional facility. Several inmates started to fight and guards tried to break it up. The fight didn't stop and more people got involved.

Like I said, it was something right out of a movie!

That's when the guards used pepper spray to break it up. That worked well and the fight was ended. There were no major injuries reported but the KWWL story noted another small fight broke out shortly after. That fracas was quickly broken up.

I'm guessing there will be a couple of inmates that will spending a few days in solitary confinement. These fellas are in trouble with a Capital T.
