I love live music. I spend most of my free time going to various shows and festivals. I especially like shows with unique artists at cool, intimate venues.

Father John Misty at the Englert Theatre in Iowa City this past Sunday fit the bill.

FJM's performance wrapped up IC's Mission Creek Festival. It was the 10th year for the festival and this show was the perfect finish.

Father John Misty (Josh Tillman) is a true original. His music spans several genres and his riffs and commentary between songs are just as entertaining as the music itself. He played for more than an hour and a half, and every moment was legit.
