Charity Golf Tournament August 15th in Shellsburg

The Hawkeye Area Labor Council annual golf outing will take place this year on August 15th. Like previous years, the tournament will be held at Wildcat Golf Course in Shellsburg.

The tournament is a four person best shot and the cost is $200 per team. All proceeds will be donated to Eastern Iowa Honor Flight. The price of the team also includes your cart and a meal for your team.

This year there will be two sessions. The first group will tee-off at 8 a.m. and the second group will start at 1 p.m.

I've played this event the last few years and really had a lot of fun. It's a great group of people and it always feels good giving back to the Eastern Iowa Honor Flight. I'll be playing again this year, I just hope I hit the ball a little better then I did last year!
