My basketball playing career is not a glorious one. I played up through my sophomore year in high school. I had the height, just not the coordination. I believe my career-high in points scored is 4. So when I was asked to lead a team of teachers from the Marion School District to take on the Harlem Wizards basketball team, I knew that was just the person for the job.

It's a good thing this game is a fundraiser for the Marion Music Boosters! The game happens this Sunday at the Marion High School gym. Doors open at 5 pm with the game starting at 6 pm. Tickets are $10 in advance for students and $12 in advance for adults. Prices do go up the day of the game. There are other special packages available too.

Music was a huge part of my life in high school and beyond. I played in the band starting in junior high and even had a music scholarship in college. I understand the importance of these programs and also realize that they need our help in funding them. So if that means I get dunked on by pro basketball players, it's a small price to pay!

Get more information on Sunday's game HERE. I'll see you on the court!
