The legendary folk singer Bob Dylan is making a return to Iowa next month! According to the Des Moines Register, the 78-year-old Minnesota-native will play the Stephens Auditorium in Ames on Wednesday, October 23rd at 8 p.m.

Bob Dylan rose to fame in the 1960s with iconic songs like "The Times They Are a-Changin'" and "Blowin' in the Wind." He has continuously toured and put out new music for over 50 years, which has made him one of the best-selling artists of all time. His Wikipedia page reports that he has a number of other accolades, as well:

"He has also received numerous awards, including the Presidential Medal of Freedom, ten Grammy Awards, a Golden Globe Award, and an Academy Award. Dylan has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Minnesota Music Hall of Fame, Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, and the Songwriters Hall of Fame."

It's also worth noting that Bob Dylan won the Nobel Prize in Literature back in 2016, and was given a special citation by the Pulitzer Prize jury in 2008. In addition to that, he has published eight books of drawings and paintings.

Tickets for Bob Dylan's return to Iowa next month will officially go on sale at noon this Friday at the box office and through Ticketmaster. They will run between $65 and $89.50, but Iowa State students can save $25 with a student I.D.
