After nearly six decades, one of country music's most talented bands is embarking on one final tour.

From the moment you hear the opening guitar lick, you know exactly what song is about to crank out of your speakers. 'Fishing in the Dark' is one of the most popular country songs of all time, and the group behind the hit song, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, is about to go on one last tour. One last time to hear that amazing song and more of the band's hits live in concert. And the band will play in Cedar Rapids this summer!

After the winter weather we've had, we could all use a summer outdoor concert to think about! According to a press release, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and their 'All The GoodTimes: The Farewll Tour' will play at the McGrath Amphitheater on Saturday, June 22nd. The group played their first gig in Southern California in 1966. In the decades that followed they blended sounds of country, bluegrass, and rock into songs that we'll never forget. The Dirt Band has won three Grammy Awards, a CMA Award, and an Emmy Award for their PBS television special.

Farewell tours don't come through Eastern Iowa very often. It's a chance to say goodbye, and thank you for the years of great music. Tickets to see the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band one final team in Cedar Rapids go on sale this Friday, January 19th at 10 a.m. at CReventslive.com. Tickets start at just $32.
