An Australian woman lived out every arachnophobe's worst nightmare when she tried to show some holiday spirit.

Sydney’s Katie Gompertz posted the terrifying experience to Facebook with the caption "This isn't what I ordered?" Attached was a photo of of her holding the gingerbread kit, with a massive spider and egg sac in the box.

“Only in Australia, only in 2020,” she said. “Seriously I don’t say this often but: why me?”

Comments rolled in, some saying "That's it, cancel Christmas."

The spider was reportedly identified as a Huntsman spider, which is native to Australia, and can grow nearly 1 foot in length.
