It seems we never hear about the people who go into a gas station and buy a lottery ticket, go home, enjoy a meal, and then find out they won $100,000. That'd be boring. No, we only hear about the people who lost their ticket and had to overcome something crazy for their money.

A Virginia woman named Mary Elliot went through a panic none of us could imagine after she realized she threw away her winning lottery ticket.

After digging through the trash, Mary knew she had seriously lucked out when she finally found her lottery ticket worth $110,000. It was in the can, and was okay, aside from a little coffee stain on the top corner of the ticket, no big deal, right?

Mary went to have the ticket scanned and get her cash money, and found out that the coffee stain was preventing the ticket from being scanned properly.

Not willing to give up $110,000, Mary Elliot took the stained ticket to the lottery office, where she was able to get officials to confirm her win, and award her the life-changing prize.

“When I saw I’d won, I couldn’t stop shaking to save my life!” she said.

Her numbers? 06 13 18 21 25.
