It's too soon for this fear! According to the University of Iowa Sports Information Department, Joe Wieskamp will test the waters of the NBA Draft process after a very solid freshman season for the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Wieskamp, from Muscatine, Iowa, scored 388 points during his just-completed freshman season with the Hawks, that makes him the seventh-highest scoring Iowa freshman in program history. He made 59 three-pointers during the season, grabbed 172 rebounds, and shot nearly 77 percent from the free throw line.

Despite the numbers above and the fact Wieskamp will see what NBA folks have to say, he's almost assuredly going to return to Iowa for his sophomore season. Wieskamp doesn't plan to hire an agent. He must withdraw from the draft by May 29 to be eligible to return to Iowa for his sophomore season.

Last season, Tyler Cook tested out the NBA after his sophomore season but returned. There's still no official word from Cook on this year's NBA draft, which is held June 20.

Here's hoping they both end up in black and gold next season... and Joe for at least another year after that.
