What’s the RIGHT Way to Make a PB&J?

Leave it to the people of Twitter to start up a conversation that divides America!

A little less than two weeks ago, a Twitter user by the name of Lexie Ebensberger posed a seemingly innocent question in order to settle a debate. She asked people what the "proper" way to make a PB&J is. Do you put the peanut butter and the jelly on the same piece of bread, or do you put the peanut butter on one piece and the jelly on the other?

You would think that this question wouldn't be that big of a deal, but as of this morning, 245,000 people have voted for the separate pieces of bread, while only about 8,500 people said they put the peanut butter and jelly on the same slice. And those people seem to be VERY passionate about their choice.

Here's the deal though: the fact that ANYONE spreads the jelly right on top of the peanut butter is pure madness. Why would you ever do something like that when there's a perfectly clean canvas for the jelly? It has to be harder to spread when there's something sticky already underneath it, right?

Here's the right way to make a PB&J - you put peanut butter on one slice of bread and then jelly on the other. You squish the two pieces of bread together, cut off the crust, and then slice it diagonally. And you ALWAYS use Smucker's Concord Grape Jelly. Always.
