The best rock concert of my life was way back in November of 1990.  I'm now 40 years old, so that would have put me in the 8th grade at the time of the show.  Let's jump in the Delorean and take a trip back in time.

The concert was in Bloomington, Minnesota.  The venue was the Met Center where the Minnesota North Stars played hockey.  It was demolished in 1994.  The Met was a great place to see a rock show.

AC/DC was the headliner with LA Guns as the opening band.  This was a big show back in 1990!  The venue was completely sold out, and we had 8th row tickets, thanks to my dather's American Express Card.

The lights went out and the show started. The crowd was on it's feet and we were ready to rock. The first song started with Angus Young ascending from under the stage, while playing the opening riff to the big hit that year, "Thunderstruck."  That set the tone for what was going to be a very memorable night.

So many songs and so many hits.  It was also very loud. The loudest concert I had ever been to. My little 8th grade ears rang for days after the show that night.

I wasn't the biggest AC/DC fan at the time and only owned a couple of albums. With that said, I was still able to sing along to 90 percent of the set list that night in Bloomington. Every song was a hit, an anthem if you will.  It was AC/DC, so much history and great music.

It's been 25 years since I saw that show. I've seen over 50 bands since that cold night in November, but I still credit that show as my all time favorite. I just wish I wouldn't have lost the ticket stub. But I will always have the memories.

Now it's your turn.  Whats your favorite rock show that you've seen?  Please comment below and we will discuss on the Shut Up and Rock Morning Show on 94.1 KRNA!!
