[URGENT] Eastern Iowa Road Conditions Worsening Now

The National Weather Service is warning of the arctic blast that is shutting down travel across Eastern Iowa this afternoon

Here in downtown Cedar Rapids the cold wind, dropping temps and drizzle have changed to sleet, creating treacherous road conditions.  CBS2 News reports on area school delays and early closures.

511 Traffic is already showing slowdowns in several spots around the region.

Expect a higher amount of slide-offs and fender benders today.
