This Day in History – Linkin Park Releases ‘Meteora’
On March 25, 2003, Linkin Park released Meteora. It was the band’s second album, the follow-up to their huge debut, 2000’s Hybrid Theory. Meteora was the band’s first album to go number one in the US and UK. The album’s singles included: “Somewhere I Belong”, “Faint”, “Numb”, “From the Inside” and “Breaking the Habit”.
Meteora was not a sophomore slump for the band. It debuted at #1 and went on to sell over 6 million copies in the US & over 20 million worldwide.
