The Taco Depot is Opening a Third Location

A popular Cedar Rapids Mexican restaurant is getting ready to open another location within the city!

Thanks to an announcement on their Facebook page yesterday, we now know that The Taco Depot is going to be opening a THIRD location in Cedar Rapids in the coming months. The post reads:

"WE HAVE EXCITING NEWS! Because we have the BEST customers, and with the help of the one and only Al Weaver with Skogman Realty... WE WILL BE OPENING OUR 3RD LOCATION!"

The Taco Depot opened their first restaurant at 2665 Edgewood Pkwy SW back in the spring of 2019. Then, around six months later, the restaurant revealed that Taco Depot II would be taking over the former Long John Silver's building at 3801 1st Ave SE. That location officially opened early last summer. Now, a totally different side of town will be able to enjoy their food! The new Taco Depot will be inside of the former Hardee's at 35 Miller Ave SW near Kirkwood Community College. The post goes on to say:

"We want to thank all of everyone who has supported us; we wouldn’t be where we are today without you! We look forward to posting updates of the remodeling progress."

We don't have an opening date for Taco Depot 3 just yet, but we look forward to updates in the near future! In the meantime, you can enjoy the other two Cedar Rapids locations. My friends and I have been to both of them, but we prefer Taco Depot II because it's closer to home. Some of my favorite things to order include the Torta, the Burrito Depot, chips and queso, and, of course, MARGARITA FLIGHTS!
