The Coral Ridge Mall Ice Arena has been closed since March, but it will finally reopen to skaters this Sunday, July 26th!

According to a new article from KWWL, Spectra has announced that the Coral Ridge Mall Ice Arena will officially reopen this weekend after some repairs were done. The article reads:

"The Ice Arena was closed in March for repairs which included a new cooling tower. It is reported that the Ice Arena was also sanitized and operational procedures were put in place to allow social distancing."

The article outlines some of those new procedures that will be implemented at the skating rink in order to keep both staff and guests safe. For example, a maximum of only 35 people will be allowed on the ice at at a time, there will be hand sanitizer stations, and the staff will all wear masks and undergo temperature checks. Guests will also be encouraged to wear masks. You can read about some of the other changes HERE.

The Coral Ridge Mall Ice Arena will celebrate their reopening with free skating on Sunday. A new post from their official Facebook page says that the schedule will be:

  • Stick & Puck
    • 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
  • Open Skate ($3 skate rental cost still applies)
    • 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
