Super Showdown With Hawks & Illinois Today At Noon
The Iowa men's basketball team will host Illinois today starting at noon. If you don't plan on going to the game, you can catch all of the action on FS1. This will be a fun way to fill the first part of the day before the Super Bowl later this evening!
The Hawkeyes lost for the first time in over three weeks as Maryland won by 10 points on Thursday night. Luka Garza played just 24 minutes as he was in foul trouble the entire game. We're all hoping Iowa can forget about that loss and get back on track.
Las Vegas has the Hawks favored in the contest by 4.5 points. The OVER/UNDER has been posted at 146. I expect the Hawks to bounce back and play hard today and I feel they should cover the 4.5 points.
But it won't be easy, Illinois has won seven games in a row, and are tied for first in the Big Ten Conference standings. This team is hot, but it's NEVER easy to play inside of Carver Hawkeye Arena.
My prediction: Iowa 83, Illinois 76.
Once again, noon tip today in Iowa City on FS1.
GO HAWKS!
