Several deaf cheer-squads from various schools across the country have come together to create a viral Facebook reel. To boot, two of the schools are located in Iowa and Wisconsin!

The viral reel was uploaded by ReallyRenca, and features seven schools for the deaf doing the "We're/Of course" trend. I call the trend that because I'm unsure of what else to call it. However, if you're a frequent consumer of TikTok videos or Facebook reels, that's likely all you need to know!

The concept of these videos involves people of a certain status or organization outlining the obvious the conversations or situations they encounter on a day-to-day basis. For example, the video kicks off with two cheerleading coaches from Wisconsin School for the Deaf saying: "we are deaf school cheer coaches, of course we will say '5,6,7,8!'"

The schools featured are: the Wisconsin School for the Deaf, Oklahoma School for the Deaf, Arkansas School for the Deaf, Iowa School for the Deaf, Metro Deaf School, Missouri School for the Deaf, and New Mexico School for the Deaf. The Wisconsin School of the Deaf is located in Delavan; the Iowa School for the Deaf is located in Council Bluffs.

The (mostly silent) video is filled with personality and enthusiasm, and has garnered a lot of positive praise and comments too. The video is not only promoting these great cheer programs across many deaf schools, but also the National Deaf Cheer Competition Tournament, which is taking place in Oklahoma over the last weekend in February.

Here is the transcription of the video, as provided by the description of the reel itself:

Wisconsin school for the Deaf: We are Deaf school cheer coaches, of course we say 5,6,7,8!
Come on! 5,6,7,8! Im trying!!
Oklahoma School for the Deaf: We are Deaf school cheer coaches, of course when we say one more, we really mean five more.
I want to see one more, yes one more I promise! (Wink)
Arkansas School for the Deaf: We are Deaf school cheer coaches, of course we will beat on our drum loud! (Beating on drum)
Iowa school for the Deaf: We are Deaf school coaches, of course we will bring this and that and everything for you! (Bringing everything)
Metro Deaf School: We are Deaf school cheer coaches, of course we sync with the music! Well most of the times. (Listening to music) now? Ah! Tell me!
Missouri School for the Deaf: We are Deaf school cheer coaches, of course we will keep asking our athletic director for stuff! (Don’t worry we ask gently)
New Mexico School for the Deaf: We are Deaf school cheer coaches, of course we cheer all year round! See you in the fall! And winter and spring!

Small Town Iowa: Road Trip to Pella - Photos

When you mention Pella, most people say "they have all the tulips right?" Where that would be correct, there is so much more to this town. Pella is also home to two manufacturing companies, a college, the largest working windmill in the U.S. and it's the boyhood home of the legendary Wyatt Earp. Now, let's go on a virtual tour of this excellent example of picturesque small-town Iowa.
