Six Teenagers Arrested Following Police Chase In Eastern Iowa
A police chase early this morning has led to the arrest of six teenagers in Waterloo on a variety of charges including assaulting a police officer, interference, OWI, and a gun charge. It leaves me shaking my head. Here are the details.
The chase happened around 12:30 this morning when Waterloo Police tried to stop a Pontiac Grand Prix for a traffic violation. According to the Waterloo Courier, the driver wouldn't stop and ended up driving into a yard and crashing into the front porch of a home. Damage estimate: $2,000. That was only the beginning of the problems.
After the crash, all six occupants of the vehicle allegedly ran, before being caught by police.
Here are the charges the six that were inside the vehicle are facing:
- 16-year-old male driver: Operating while intoxicated, interference, and eluding.
- 17-year-old male passenger: Carrying weapons (gun) and interference while armed.
- 16-year-old female passenger: Interference and two counts of assaulting a police officer.
- Female teen passenger (age unknown): Interference and criminal mischief... accused of slamming a computer to floor at the Waterloo police station.
- Female teen passenger (age unknown): Interference

If the allegations are true, I'm guessing they all just made Santa's naughty list.
