Gun Shots in Cedar Rapids Sends Man to Hospital

According to CBS2, "Late last night in Cedar Rapids officers responded to shots fired."

The police report indicates the incident happened on Sunday, August 12th, at 12:16 a.m. Police were dispatched to 15th Street and 7th Avenue on the SE side of Cedar Rapids. Officers arrived on-scene and located one male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. At this time, the severity of that wound is not known. The man was transported to a local hospital for his injuries.
