Another Quad Cities event has been announced for 2021. The Quad-Cities Hot Air Balloon Festival will be happening this year in Davenport in the middle of August.

In a press release on Thursday, Rhythm City Casino Resort announced that the 2021Quad-Cities Hot Air Balloon Festival will be happening. Officials said that this year’s event will be held onsite at Rhythm City Casino in Davenport.

The 2021 festival will happen Friday, August 13 through Saturday, August 14. Gates will open at 4 p.m. each day. Officials say that admission is free, but donation items or cash are appreciated. Those donations will benefit the Quad City Animal Welfare Center. A list of items of need can be found online at qcawc.org.

In the press release, officials said that attendees can expect to view the balloon launch at 6 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday. The festival will also have tethered balloon rides post launch for $15 per rider, free balloon glow viewing at dusk each day and a play area for kids including bounce houses, face painting and more! If you plan on attending this year, officials encourage you to bring blankets and chairs to set up for an evening of balloon viewing.

Food vendors to be announced at a later date.
