Public Gets First Look At New Marion Longfellow Elementary [GALLERY]

The public got their first chance to tour the new Longfellow Elementary school in Marion yesterday. The school will have students in preschool through 2nd grade and replaces Emerson Elementary within the Marion Independent School District.

I took my daughters Carly and Cayleigh to see the new school yesterday. Cayleigh will be among the first class of 2nd graders to use the school! Carly was a bit jealous she missed it by one year. Needless to say, the building is very impressive. Natural lighting and bright colors are found everywhere in the school. It features the largest gym I've ever seen at an elementary building. The library is spacious and filled with fun areas to sit and read. Needless to say, Cayleigh is excited to start school at Longfellow on August 23rd!
