80s TV Icons Appearing As Puppets, Live in Eastern Iowa

No retirement community for these gals, they had a lot of life to live and it showed. Generations of new fans continue to get introduced to these shenanigans thanks to reruns and streaming, and now the characters are hitting the stage in Eastern Iowa. Albeit in fabric form.

I feel no shame in admitting I still occasionally enjoy watching an episode of the "Golden Girls" and this parody show sounds like a blast. "From Sophia's get-rich-quick schemes to Rose's tales from St Olaf, Blanche's insatiable hunt for men and the Fountain of Youth, and Dorothy's daily struggle to make sense of her life."

The show takes place Friday, February 4 with tickets going on sale this Friday, September 10 for $29-$59 through Ticketmaster or the Five Flags Center box office. With Betty White as the only member of the cast still alive and kicking, perhaps it's too much to hope for a special appearance from the dim-witted but beloved legend herself, especially with the pandemic still in our minds, but we can dream.
